The value of first-hand experience cannot be understated when it comes to an appreciation for barriers to accessing healthcare faced by those around the world.
Much of the work of Eating Stones Fund UK began with this kind of collaboration and exchange and we want to make this opportunity available to others in the UK.
Starting in 2019 we will be working with UK Universities to offer grants to student nurses hoping to experience nursing in resource poor settings. We will be looking for students who hope to research a particular barrier or perceived barrier to the effective delivery of healthcare in their area of interest.
